by jayanthathreyar » Mon Dec 15, 2014 6:07 pm
Hello Everyone,

I have a good academic background and I am a gold medallist at my grad school. I wrote my GMAT recently. I ended up scoring 640. Here is a brief snapshot of my profile

10th: 92%
12th: 90%
Grad (B.E): 9.65/10 CGPA
Work Ex: 2 years with an IT giant
Extra Curriculars: Head of GINI wing of IEEE, Certified Classical Musician, Teaching Calligraphy, Chairman of a Student committee which tracks satellites.

What are my chances in NUS, NBS, SMU? I am an Indian. So I consider GLIM, XIMB as well.

Hi Jayanth,

You have a strong and diverse profile for Singapore B-schools, your solid academics will compensate your below average GMAT. The next step for you is to focus on your essays, it takes time to come up with quality essays, with good extra curriculars and initiatives I am sure you have many good things to write in your essays but again to put that story convincingly in 300-500 word limit is challenging task.So start working on your essays, your shortlisted schools look realistic and achievable based on your profile. Let me know if you have any questions...happy to help.
