What is the source of this question? I ask because the prompt and the answers are all written in a really "clunky" style (which might mean typos or a really questionable source).

To answer your question, you should focus on the word "salt"....

Would you say...

"Salt is...."

or

"Salt are...."

You should be thinking "salt IS" and "SALTS are", so the word "iodized" doesn't matter.
