IMO C but it is wrong.. Can any one explain

'C' os wrong here because it changes the meaning...
According to 'C' : A Madagascar periwinkle derivative is cultivated !!
But actually it's the Madagascar periwinkle that is cultivated.

However my choice is "E"here since it looks more clear to me.

This is very old question that discussed on this forum. I am sure, if you do search then you can find the reasoning.

Correct answer should be (E).

Reason: The Madagascar periwinkle can be cultivated not its derivative. That's why (C) and (D) are wrong over here.

OA should be C, when it has no grammar error.

If OA is E, i think it is really hard question when it requires us understand about this.
