I am currently on day 8 and was wondering if decent score in quant can be achieved only using MGMAT guides and practising problems in OG and QR or whether more practise is required? I am aiming for a score of around 700.

The Guide should provide enough practice questions to achieve your target score. As you have probably seen, each day has a ton of practice questions to complete.
That said, Day 42 is the last day that you learn new content, and the remaining days are devoted to taking practice tests and working on weaknesses. So, if you're still weak in certain areas at that point, you can find additional practice questions to work on.
