Today, I downloaded and installed the most recent version of the GMATPrep software. But my GMATPrep Software closed abruptly while I was in the middle of taking the test. I was in Quant 10th question when this happened.
When I re-opened the software the test was lost.

GMATPrep Software version: 2.3.322
OS version: OS X Yosemite.
My questions:
1) How do I ensure such problems do not occur in future ?. My software installation looked correct to me. If the s/w keeps crashing, I get to see the questions and ultimately the score will be pumped up. I want to attempt my next try only after I ensure everything is proper.
2) I want to take a mock test at the earliest. Which is the stable version of GMATPrep ?. Can I install an older/more stable version of GMATPrep ?.
3) Does the software work(has lesser bugs) better on windows ? I can install on my windows laptop and try it.
