D on its own is a fragment. The main clause is "investors heard a presentation"; the rest is all modification.

Doesn't among.. just leave the sentence open ended.. ? It sounds odd. A sentence followed by a , and then among them..

We usually write among them.. is..

And is 'included among' a wrong idiom?

"including/included among" looks redundant. It should either be "included/including" or "among them".

Here the among them is actually acting as a modifier, giving examples of the challenges.
