At this point if i can offer you only one piece of (borrowed) advice i would say do not panic and make sure to keep your calm throughout the test. Try to identify questions that are genuinely tough and skip them with in the 2min time limit. This should keep you going well.

You're not the only one to score in the 300s. I know many on this forum talk about how they've broken into the 700s, but many have also been thrown down into the 300s. I'm a part of the latter group. After talking a month off of studying, I decided to study again and will give the test next week. I hope I don't get embarassed again.

medea: i am still waiting for my writing score before posting a full write-up of the experience, but I definitely will.

In short though, if you are scoring in the 300-500 range, it is more likely you do not have a good grasp of the fundamentals. And in my humble opinion, I think you should try to focus on that instead of use up all the practice questions.

You may not think I am qualified to make that assumption/suggestion since:

* I have an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from a U.S. private college ranked in the top 50 (strong quantitative background).
* I have lived in the U.S. for the past 10+ years, so decent grasp on the English language.
* I scored 720 on the GMATPrep 1 only after doing the practice/familiarization questions included in the GMATPrep software (which I still think was a fluke).

Even then, when I go back to review the verbal fundamentals, I realized I missed quite a few things. I might have known those things subconsciously due to the long term exposure to the language, but it is still nice to have a firm concept in mind. After that, understanding the test strategies and figuring out things to look for just became so much easier since I have a firm foundation instead of rely on my intuition, which is often wrong in the case of SC.

I've taken 3 tests so far:

GPREP1-490(Q29,V28)
GPREP1(second time, w/ some repeats from last test and OG)-580(Q30,V40)

GPREP2-470(Q23,V31)

What I'm doing now is going over what I got wrong on the tests and also re-doing the problems that I got wrong in the OG math(green book). I have also been focusing heavily on SC and not much on RC & CR since many on this forum have mentioned that SC is the best way to increase the verbal score. Test is this weekend, I plan on doing one last practice test, with essay this time tommorrow. Then just review and some relaxation before my afternoon test.

Any thoughts?

What is the score range that you are looking for?

If your intended score range is around 500, then I'd say go for it since GMATPrep is pretty accurate in my experience (relative to other mock tests).

You probably won't like what I tell you.

I don't think you should be going into the test while you are expecting to outperform your norm results by 100+ points. If that happens, I'd be the first to congratulate you, but I am trying to be realistic here.
