Hi All,

Below is my education and work experience profile:
Education:- B.Tech in Computer Science
Work:- 2 years in an IT company as a quality analyst in Energy Domain which includes oil and gas.
Interests and Strengths:-Am really good with people and by nature I am an extrovert and would like to consider that I have decent communication skills.Love challenging work which requires innovation and creativity.I can manage people/teams with ease and can get the required task delivered on time.

I need a suggestion on whether I should stick to management in IT as my profile would help me, or should I follow my areas of interest i.e. management in sales and marketing. Will my IT experience be an issue for the same?

Hi,

Just read your post and man you are having the same question I had. I asked people around me and they said I should go for what I want. but then I had this one guy from a consultancy offering me free half hour session. So I contacted them and the guy convinced me that right now it would be best for me to stick to my profile. you may check them out, this is as far as I could suggest you amigo. Dont know if they are still offering free evaluation but Peter Moore is the guy's name and dreammba.com is their website. Best of luck!

Hi Kavu13

I think it would be great to stick to your background at least for application purposes as you would face issues in bridging the gap between your current work and future aspirations.

You can very well pursue your interests once you reach the school.

Good Luck!

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

I would re iterate what has been written for application please stick to your profile. It will show consistency between your profile and aspirations.
Once you join the program it offers a lot of insights regarding the different programs. Also there are counselors on campus to help you make a better decision.

Good Luck!!

Yes, profile. The rule is simple: Go to the best school you can get into.

All the rest is mumbo-jumbo.
