What a Day - 6 days until test

by LSB » Tue Aug 26, 2008 10:47 am
Woke up refreshed motivated to beat my last MGMAT Prep test and recover from my embarassing performance on MGMAT 5. Wrote the essays. They were pretty good if I can say so myself.

5 minute break. Still feeling good and ready to take quant.

Good start ... spending 2 mins on each question. Along come Q7, Q8 and Q9. 4 mins each. First 2 are 7-800, third one is 600-700. All three wrong. Then Q15 (7-800) 6 mins --> wrong. Then Q17 (600-700) 5mins --> wrong
... and so forth. GUessed the last 10 questions in less than 1 minute.

5 minute break - no sign of stamina problems.

Moving on to V. Seemed somewhat easy. Crusing throgh RC. Easier than usual SC. Done in time. Guessed one CR along the way to catch up on my timing schedule.

Results. 580 (45V/98% - 28Q//24%).

I'm freaking out. This cannot possibly be happening after 2.5 weeks and 120 hours of non-stop prep.

Lunch break.

Decide to take the GMATPrep Q section only. Did not recognize any particular questions. Q45/75%.

I don't know what happened to the MGMAT Q sections in my last two tests. But it freaks me out a bit.

Next 5 days: it is only OG and GMATPrep.

Well it could be a result of nervousness. I too have had similar experience during my prep. 3 weeks of non stop prep could be very stressful and I will definitely suggest you to take it a little slow for the next few days until the test. Just go through your OG and your error log, if you have made one. Best of luck for the GMAT :)
