GMAT RC Vocab - No nonsense(Only for GMAT)

Hi All

Reading comprehension is a section in which one needs to understand and comprehend the passage well. To do so one needs to have a good vocabulary. But unfortunately GMAT uses words which are not so common in day to day language and just because of these alien words sometimes we sacrifice a lot in this section. Attached is a file consisting most frequent difficult words(with meaning and usage examples) appeared in various OG and GMATPrep RCs.

This is a no nonsense file and contains only high frequency difficult words pertaining to GMAT with their meanings and examples.

P.S. This file is exclusively compiled by tathastuGMAT. For meanings and usage examples, I have used "dictionary.cambridge.org"(the best one as per me).

Great idea!

That said, there's also a LOT that can be gleaned from context, even when we don't know the vocab. Think of those science passages that contain obscure Latin names, or bacterium we cannot even pronounce! In my opinion, your time with RC is best spent breaking down the passages, rephrasing the question-stems, writing down your own prediction, and using process of elimination when dealing with the answer choices.

It's pretty rare that 1 vocab word "ruins" an RC question for a student -- usually it's their inability to grasp the author's intention or the way a certain detail is used to propel that function that is to blame for an incorrect answer.

Developing your critical, active reading skills is the ONLY way to a very high RC score.
