The effect of the advanced full-year calendars prepared by the North American Indians is not known from the sentence to be present now. So the thing is past and hence we may not use "have developed" in the sentence.

'evidence of' and 'evidence that', both are correct but we should be wary of the information that follows it because the info is not interchangeably similar.

"have developed" represents present perfect tense. We use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about an action which started in the past and continuous up to now.

If we use "Evidence of", then "of" has to be followed by a noun or a noun phrase.

The activity of developing has not just completed or still going on. Hence "have developed" is Incorrect. The event is completed is past hence past tense "developed" is correct.

'Have', a present perfect form is used in case where event has not just completed or still going on.


"Evidence of" and "Evidence that" both are IDIOM, but it depends on the context to be used.
Here "Evidence of north Americans" means that event provides evidence of north Americans; While we want to convey that calender stick provides evidence that north American Indians developed calender. Hence "Evidence that" is correct.

What is OA of this question?
As per my understanding the calendar is still in to existence so usage of 'have developed' would be fine.
E.g : I have developed a robot, which can speak different languages.

In A, is there any issue with the usage of 'basing them on'?

In A, if I use COMMA after calendars then the sentence would be correct?
