You score well on parameter of diversity. Professional experience & extra curricular activities give strong indication of your ability to make things happen and same is valued by all B-Schools.
You are low on experience, and you need to showcase that you have matured (ahead of time) and hence you are ready to pursue MBA, sight examples wherever you have led teams, resolved a problem or provided guidance.
GMAT+Academic - is average and may not give you competitive advantage if you are applying to top 20 schools.
While internship is a good learning experience, it provides limited scope of learning as period of engagement is short. Avoid creating buy-ins by sighting too many examples from internship. Rather, discuss more about your work experience in essays/application.
To know more, you can get a free & detailed profile evaluation from us.
Hope this helps.

I think your profile is more attractive than one of the other posters.

Congrats on getting a 740. Did you graduate First Class or First Class with Distinction from Manipal University?

Your experience is not the usual technology background. You have CSR community service. Attending Stanford SIGM helps your candidacy. I think you are competitive for top 10 programs but would probably want to add a few less selective schools depending on your goals. Since you have automotive industry experience Michigan Ross School of Business might be a good additional school for you. Ross is one of the few schools with an Automotive Club.

Best of luck,

Hi Gmatsid,

Your GMAT score is pretty good and your extra currics / internships will help you. Your work experience also looks diverse but the duration is really less. You will just complete 2 yrs of experience by fall 2015. While US school do take some brilliant candidates with 2 years of experience, you have top 8 schools on your list which appears difficult.

Ideally, we suggest that you add one more year of experience and then apply. This is because if you get rejected for these school this year ( and there are chances of that happening) building reapplicant case next year will be a challenging task.

Keep on adding achievements and projects and you will stand a good chance.
