Extra Curricular - Minimum

Professional Experience : 6.5 years by next session

Sector : IT

Industry : Financial Services

International Experience : Graduated from India, however spent most of the professional time in London working with Barclays through Indian IT company Tata Consultancy Services.

Career Growth :
Started as Software Engineer.

Gained rapid recognistion and was given responsibility as a Module Leader managing 4-5 member team

Delivered biggest Bank Mergers projects in UK. Promoted to Analyst and Project Leader.

Engaged on to the biggest projects in the UK financial services history. Last project managed budgeted at $3Million with a benefit delivered around £10 Billion to the client.
Managed team sizes ~ 20 members

Took Project Management Certification : Prince2, highly acclaimed in UK

Various awards / accolades from the Client (they offered me job as well) and Parent Company

Currently working Senior Analyst (IT) for Wealth Management division of world's largest Asset Management Companies. Responsibilities involve the project management related tasks as well, but is not reflected from the role title.

Ventures :
Traning Institute : Employed 10 people. Training more than ~100 students quarterly. Good revenue. Disengaged slowly due to less margins.

Export of niche products to UK : a total failure

Manufacturing Consumer Products : Currently employing 10 people ; Capital Investment : 1 mil ; Revenue: 100k per annum; Profits : 15%;
Struggling with marketing; But sued by 'Google' of the Market indicating that they perceive me as a threat. Litigation settled.

Social Activities : Founded and managing a primary school for kids in a village. 30-40 kids out there.

Target Colleges : LBS, Cambridge Judge, Oxford Said ; Harvard;

How does this look like ? Suggestions please regarding the profile.

Dear vyom.bagda,

You appear to have a solid foundation to be competitive for your target schools. I do not see any weaknesses in what you posted. As with any IT folks from India, you will need to present a compelling, strong application to distinguish yourself from the competition. If you still are living in London, I would suggest using that to your advantage by visiting the UK schools and establishing a relationship with someone in the admissions office. Focus on writing strong essays and doing well in the interview--the effort will pay off.
