Have Been -ed Vs Have -ed

When to use 'Have Been' + -ed and when to use 'Have' + -ed?

I think the principal difference is who is doing the action


They have been stung by the bee ( bee did the action)

They have stung the bee ( they did the action)

I realize this doesn' address the +ed issue - but I could not come up with an example.

I agree with you.......the primary difference in using

have been + ed
and
have + ed

will be clear by following example.

Basically its usage of subject. In general , if the subject , about which we are, has done the action , we use have +ed, i.e. active form

but if sentense is in passive form, we use have been +ed.
