Should I retake the GMAT?

by afrothunderz92 » Tue Jan 21, 2014 7:57 pm
I received a 660 overall, with a 46 quantitative, 35 verbal, and 8 integrated reasoning, I had a 3.78 undergrad gpa and 4 years working for a Big 4 accounting firm. Is it worth it to try and get a 700 or do I still have a decent chance of getting into MBA program like Stanfords, Harvards etc. etc.

Hi afrothunderz92,

With a 660/Q46, you're in position to apply to any US Business School, so you shouldn't hold back. Keep in mind that the application process is typically 6 or 7 "pieces" (sometimes there's an interview, sometimes not), so you'll need a strong overall application to be competitive. It's also worth noting that you've listed some remarkably competitive schools (that tend to reject 85%-90% of applicants), so even if you're application is amazing, it still might not be enough. Admissions Experts can probably offer some more pointed advice, so you should try posting in that Forum on this site.
