Dear Paul,

I'm not sure what schools you are targeting, so it is hard to comment on your chances with any specifics. However, I will point out what are the positives and negatives of the profile you posted.

You have a demonstrated managerial skill set and probably have plenty of examples to draw from in your applications. Since you desire to stay in supply chain, then there is a logical path to your future career goals. I'm a little concerned that you have been in the same job since 2004. Perhaps that is not the case, but that is how you have it posted. If it is the same job, it would be helpful for you to highlight how your responsibilities have increased over time and/or how you have progressed in your career without a change in job title.

Your GPA and GMAT could be a problem for you depending on where you apply. Your GPA is on the low side and the GMAT is below average for most top 40 programs. However, if your GMAT is within the mid-50% range for the programs you are targeting, than it is probably not worth retaking. If it is at the bottom or below the mid-50% range, then you might want to retake the test to increase your score by at least 30 points.

Best of luck to you,
Lisa

By Mid 50% do you mean between 25% and 75% of the students?

Also I have been promoted five times at the company however my title has only changed once. I will rework my resume to account for changes in responsibility and resubmit it as I finish. Thank you so much.

Yes, mid-50% is the middle of the class with 25% falling below the range and 25% falling above the range. Your resume changes will definitely help.

Best of luck,
