If you are thinking about applying to Bschool, dude, you should probably work at least one if not two more years. Applying with 1.4 years experience probably won't bring you all that much, and even two is too low, especially for IT people. So I'd suggest instead thinking on how you can work on your profile over the next year and a half and then apply first in 2015

Hello rohit,
It is very difficult to get into a top business -school with 2 years of work experience at Oracle. You fall in the most competitive applicant pool (Indian Engineer IT Male). NIT is a decent school. Your GPA is also quite low, so a good GMAT score will help you and may compensate for your lower GPA. If I were you, I would work for at least for one more year and then apply to top schools. Focus on your GMAT now and build up your application. Take some leadership roles outside work. Have you been part of your ora-volunteers network? Then, write to us with your detailed profile next year. We have helped a guy with 3 years at Oracle to get into Kellogg. He was exceptional and strong career record in those 3 years. Good luck!
