Hello Sir,

I am an aeronautical engineering graduate from India with 67% grades (2012 pass-out).I have 1 year of internship experience as of now.I would like to study business further and hope to build a career in management. But since I don't have any substantial work-experience I didn't consider the MBA program, rather I am considering now the Masters in Management (MIM) program.I have evaluated that the B-shools in Europe especially France has very good MIM programs. But how good it could be for me and how good the program is,actually I don't have any idea.I am very skeptical about it right now about its credibility and popularity. What do you reckon about these MIM programs? How good it is??What would you recommend me with my profile?Should I opt for an MBA or an MIM program? Please help me with my queries.

Clarifications would be of immense help.

Kind Regards,
Sarat

Well, the question is not so much "how good are they?" (there are good programs and less good programs) but "are they the RIGHT program for me?". MiMs can be great programs for 1) people who have no/little knowlegde of business, but know that they immediately want to start in the field 2) people who need to immediately break into a business field. (meaning after the two years of studying of course!).

In general, I feel that the MBA is the better program. First it is more well known. Second, I believe that when you do a business program after a few years of real professional experience, you tend to come away with a lot more.

But you need to think about what is right for you.

Best,
JF
