Admission round 3rd

by [email protected] » Sun Jan 06, 2013 9:21 pm
Now have time only to apply in the third round! Is it still time or this year is over; considering that I feel I still need two months to appear in GMAT!

Most of the last dates for the third round are in March!

Regards

Agreed. At this point, it is best to wait until the next year.

In particular, if you are an international student hoping to attend an MBA in the US, you should definitely apply in Round 1 or 2. Applicants who apply in Round 3 and beyond risk problems with the immigration process.

Don't despair that you have to wait another year. Use this time wisely! The MBA application cycle is shifting to an 18 month cycle, and this gives you a lot of time prepare for Round 1 in the next year!

Conduct an honest and hard review of your MBA application profile. Where can you close the gaps and strengthen the file? Is this the time to take additional coursework? Start up on community service activities? Improve your GMAT score?

There is a lot you can do to prepare for the upcoming application cycle.

Aren't there deadlines in January? I'm not sure which schools you're planning on applying too but...

NYU Stern November 15, 2013
UCLA January 7, 2014
Georgetown January 5, 2014
Tuck January 3, 2014
Johnson December 4, 2013
Yale January 9, 2014
Duke January 6, 2014
Babson January 3, 2014
Darden January 7, 2014

That being said, if you have to retake the GMAT again WHILE doing your applications, it's not impossible. I did it... and many people do it.
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.
