Hi,
I am 23 year old Indian, working at one of the top semiconductor companies in a technical position. I am planning to apply for Fall 2014 MBA programs.
I intend to work at my current position until July next year, earning myself 2 years of work experience before I attend any program. My work deals with design of semiconductor products which later go into consumer products. Apart from full time experience, I have couple of internships to add to.
I have scored 324 in GRE (equivalent to 710 GMAT). I have CGPA of 8.45/10 (relative grading) from a non-IIT college.
Extra-curricular activities: I started a tech blog along with my classmate which we continue to maintain even now. I was on executive council of our college IEEE Student Branch and continue to be part of IEEE. I was also part of the college quiz club. I continue to be part of the quizzing team at my workplace.

Reason for MBA: Career change. I want to shift towards family business in realty sector.
Area of interest: General Management/ Entrepreneurship & Family Business

Applying to: Ross, Kenan-Flagler, Tepper, Carey(ASU).

Please comment on my profile and what areas to improve my application. Also, suggest if any schools need to be added or dropped.
Thank you.

Well my first comment would be that 2-year work experience is probably too little. The average is about 4-5, and the people who tend to get in with 2 years tend be in the finance or consulting industries. So my first thought would be that you should maybe wait one more year at least before thinking about applying.

I agree with Jon - you're not on an accelerated career path (i.e. banking, PE, consulting, etc.). It's great that you have the strength of a large firm behind your resume but, as Jon mentioned, you should wait a year or two before you start planning for your MBA. Not to mention, a lot can change in a couple of years!

Oh, forgot to mention this - take your GMAT. You only mentioned your GRE and, while you have a good score, study and take the GMATs. If you're thinking about applying with less than the average number of years of experience, you need a really strong score!
