Starting the GMAT prep

Hi,
I am a student from India completed by bachelors in business administration in the year 2012.
After that I worked with Apple India for 1 year, now I've migrated to US recently and now I am planning to give GMAT next year with full preparation and aiming high scores. Now that I've planned for it I want to self study for that since I cannot join prep courses as they are very expensive for me.
So to start preparing for it, I need a proper guidance regarding with what I should start with starting from the beginning.

Hi rudraksh,

You'll likely find it useful to take a full-length practice CAT to measure your "starting ability." While the results of this test won't necessarily be great, you'll get a better sense for what to expect on the GMAT, you'll learn about some of the content and you'll get a sense for which areas you'll need to spend some extra time on.
