Hello all

Thanks to all you folks, who have been tremendously helpful in my GMAT pursuit. I took my first gmat prep three weeks ago and got a 640 (V31, Q47) and took the second test today and got 700 (V37,Q49). My question is should I keep taking a test everyday to keep my momentum and stamina levels under check and if so, which tests would provide me with the same level of questions as the gmat prep. I am really hoping to keep the 700 level in check, as I am looking to apply to the Kellogg and Booth part time MBA program. Thanks again for taking the time and hoping to hear from you.

Hi Vijay,

Taking a CAT every DAY is NOT a good idea. You'd be better served doing light practice for the next 2 weeks and scheduling in 2 more CATs TOTAL.

Some people go "CAT crazy" and end up burning out before their actual GMATs. We want to avoid that.

Many thanks for your advise. My biggest concern is not to lose the current stamina that I have developed to sit through the test for four hours. Is there any way I can keep a check on that before the test?

Hi vijayitw,

Other than the 2 full-length CATs, your practice should NOT be excessive because you're already scoring at a high level. Since you're at this level, maintaining it shouldn't be hard; the key now is to NOT burn out before your real GMAT. So you will continue to study, but you don't need to do lots at this point.
