After 550+ hours of study (since Jan 2013), countless number of OG questions, several practice CATs, etc. -- I am finally taking the test for the first time on Tuesday, 9/10. And I'm finding myself letting go and not caring anymore!! Is this normal? I think I'm cracking under the pressure. The odd thing is, I've never been so calm and relaxed before in my perspective towards the GMAT. I've slaved away at test prep for so many months that a large part of me just wants to get done with this test. That idea is so attractive and tempting that I'm having difficulty concentrating. I tried to do a quick verbal 41-Q set this morning, but I could barely get past 6 questions before closing it down. It's almost like I've had enough prep, I can't stand it anymore; I just need to take this damn test already!!
Anyone out there have this feeling or have experience with this? Any/all advice, direction, etc. would be so very much appreciated.
I am hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. I am applying to top 10 programs in Round 2 this year and shooting for a 680+ in the GMAT. I think the chances of that are slightly under 50% at this point. But, I'm confident I can get there by the end of this year (and perhap 1 or 2 more tries at this test). I just want to be done with this already!
Thank you in advance for your thoughts, advice, and support.
