Recommendation letters - 3 weaknesses

Hi!
I wanted to know if it would look bad that my recommender only addresses 1 weakness when the question asks for 3. My former boss says that she can only think of one and in fact, it was the one thing that she told me while working with her.

I think if the recommendation asks specifically for 3 (as Kellogg's does), then your recommendation should address 3. They wouldn't have specified the number otherwise.

I agree, you should obey the instructions. If your recommender can't think of another weakness you had, try telling her about a weakness you have but managed to hide successfully while working for her

The fact that you ask the question means that you have doubts as to whether or not that's a good decision. Go with your gut... the recommender should definitely discuss 3 weaknesses. There's also nothing wrong with you helping him/her out and pointing out what you think 2 other weaknesses are. Everyone has many weaknesses and the fact that your important recommender can't think of more raises a flag for me at least... How close are you too this recommender?
