Trains A and B travel at the same constant rate in opposite directions along the same route between Town G and Town H. If, after traveling for 2 hours, Train A passes Train B, how long does it take Train B to travel the entire distance between Town G and Town H?
(1) Train B started traveling between Town G and Town H 1 hour after Train A started traveling between Town H and Town G.

(2) Train B travels at the rate of 150 miles per hour.

OA is A

Given,

Speed is constant
Distance is same.
Travel:Opposite direction

Time varies if the time of arrival or departure of each train varies or different.

If we have some info about this, maybe we can do something.

Statement 1

Suppose Train A started at 3 p.m, then train B started at 4 p.m

Yes we can do some calculations and find out the time required by train B to travel entire distance between G & H

Statement 2

Only speed is given, but prompt had already mentioned that "Trains A and B travel at the same constant rate", hence no new information is added.

OA A

I hope I am right!

definitely, the answer is A. if the rate is same then they must covert the entire distance at the same time. question says that B started after and hour or train A. after an hour the train B passes train A, we must remember that by that time train A has traveled two hours. as the rate is same...so the two trains will take same hours. train B traveled 3 hours in total to cover he entire distance.
