Quants
- Following the strategy of 3 quarters of 25 min and 12-12-13 Qs in those 3 quarters is fine.

Verbal
- I have not been successful in having any well defined strategy for Verbal. I tried to divide it in 3 quarters of 25 min and 13-14-14 Qs, but it all depends on the SC Qs which take lesser time to solve. I read a few blog, but couldn't find help.

Would anybody recommend noting down time before & after each RC passage?
How do you go about keeping the tag on time as you progress?
For e.g., for the 1st 13 Qs on verbal, I got only 1 SC so I timed a total of 27 min for 1st 13 Qs. I was scared as I thought I had overshoot time.

Thanking in anticipation

That's a hard question to answer because of the nature of the Verbal questions: RC tends to take longer than average, SC shorter than average and CR just about average (2 minutes). It really depends on how far along you are as well as how many RC passages you've seen. I never used milestones to track my time on verbal unlike with quant, but if you should have an idea of your time progress after doing several cats.

The only thing I did was keep track of how many RC passages I've done. For example, if I saw 2 passages already then I would likely only see 1 more (due to the number of questions per section on the verbal) so I would multiple the number of questions I had left (say 10) by 2. That means that I should need more than 20 minutes to complete the verbal (20 minutes for the 10 questions + 3-5 minutes to read the passage carefully). You can do the same thing if you've only seen 1 passage and you have 2 more to see. This is a conservative method because of those remaining questions some should be SC and those will take less time.

The only thing is that you may actually see 4 passages not 3 as it depends on how many questions are provided per passage.
