Grapes containing 70% water are dried to yield raisins, which contains 10% water. How many pounds of raisins will 30 pounds of grapes yield?

Grapes containing 70% water are dried to yield raisins, which contains 10% water. How many pounds of raisins will 30 pounds of grapes yield?

OA: 10 pounds

Suppose there are 100 pounds of grapes.
This contains 70 pounds of water and 30 pounds of solid.
When dried, water reduces to 10%.
So 30 pounds becomes 90% of weight.
So 100% weight = 30/90*100 = 100/3 pounds

Now, 100 pounds of grapes yields 100/3 pounds of raisins.
30 pounds of grapes will therefore yield 30/3 pounds of raisins.
i.e. 10 pounds of raisins

You seem to be posting a lot of questions without the answer choices.
On the GMAT, you can often use the answer choices to your advantage (e.g., estimation, plugging in, etc.)
In the future, can you please provide the answer choices as well?
