Verbal-How to take it to 40

I'm consistently scoring 49/50 in Quants.
But in Verbal I am unable to take my score to V40 benchmark.
I am generally scoring in 34-38 range. My GMAT is 2 weeks away.
Please suggest what should I do.
My accuracy rates are as follows:-
SC-70-75%
RC-55-70%(I generally run short of time so I have to guess on 1 RC passage)
CR-50-60%

As I could figure out, CR is the main problem area. How to improve my CR in such short duration of time(2 weeks).

You need to check out the percentiles for those scores. You can see all of the percentiles for GMAT scores, scaled Verbal and Quant as well as the overall and IR and AWA scores at this link from GMAC. https://www.mba.com/the-gmat/gmat-scores ... means.aspx

As you will see when you go to that page. A Quant score of 40 is MUCH lower than a Verbal score of 34. The scoring scales are going to need to be reset in the future or something. What is happening is that as more non-U.S. people are taking the GMAT the Quant section is getting tougher and people are still scoring better so much so that a quant score of 40 is only the 50th percentile.

Verbal is where people are suffering and so the verbal scale is going the other way and so now a verbal score of 40 would be the 90th percentile It is no wonder you are having trouble crossing the 40 level on verbal. In fact the 34 to 38 range on verbal (where you have been scoring) is between the 70 and the 84th percentile.

My suggestion is that you keep working on the verbal since you are doing well there, and you figure out how to improve your QUANT scores in the next two weeks.

Please let me know if you do want suggestions to improve your Quant scores, or if you do want to focus on CR. Perhaps you already knew that a 40 on verbal was the 90th percentile and you are determined to get there...
