Guide to score a 50 or 51 in Quans

by c23678 » Tue Aug 13, 2013 7:46 am
Hello,

I attempted GMAT thrice and scored a 47 on all occasions. Even though I scored 49/50 in Quans on most of my practice tests, I am unable to cross 47 on the real exam. During the exam I was confident that I will atleast score a 49, but for some reason I am unable to cross 47. I used MGMAT Quans Guides, OG 13, OG Q2 materials for prep. What other practice material can I use to get a score of 50 or 51?

Thanks,
C23678

I've found Manhattan Gmat's challenge questions the most helpful. It can get really hairy, you definitely need a lot of practice and keep your cool, but if you can get them right 60% or more (on average) on those challenge questions within 2:00 each, you should be good to go for a 50/51 on the Quant section.

I think it's more fundamental though, to ask - why are getting questions wrong? Timing? Some problems too hard? Silly mistakes?

If you want a 50/51, you really need to address every possible issue, since there's not a lot of room for error.
