I currently have been studying off and on for about a month and a half. I have to take the test in 25 days and I told myself that the last month I would get more intense. So I have gone from devoting ~2 hours a day to about 4 hours a day. I took my first practice exam (princeton Review) and I only got a 490. I need to improve 60 points over the next 25 days. Is this possible? I got a 29 V and a 29 Q. RIght now I am going through Mcgraw-Hills's 2013 edition GMAT book. I do not have a lot of disposable income at the moment so I was just wondering if anyone could suggest any good free online help that could push my score above 550.
A 60-point increase over the next 25 days is definitely attainable. The important thing to do now is analyze each practice test to identify your weaknesses (gaps in content knowledge and/or test-taking skills such as time-management and endurance). Then work on those areas.
If you're looking for free resources, we (GMAT Prep Now) have plenty, including complete (and free) modules covering Data Sufficiency, Reading Comprehension and AWA. We also have free video lessons throughout our site.
