Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully respond.
I graduated in May 2013 with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration from a large state school. My GPA was low, 2.606 cumulative and 3.1 in major. I also have some pretty bad grades that stand out on the transcript. I plan to take the GMAT in August and plan to get 730+ (I took a practice test on a whim and got a 660, 51Q and 31V). I was also working full time through college to support myself and even held multiple jobs at times.
I want to apply to Masters of Finance programs starting in Summer or Fall of 2014. I am considering taking the CFA exams, and also considering building an alternative transcript. What are your thoughts about my situation?
I also have passed 2 actuarial exams while in college, but decided that wasn't exactly what I wanted to do, so I switched to more of a finance mindset.
Thanks.
