Hi Stacy (and the team),
I would be grateful for your advise on an issue I have with my GMAT score.
I did the test yesterday and got a 720. I am very pleased with the general score, however my quant score isn't very high (44, 63rd percentile) while my verbal score is very high (46, 99th percentile).
I've heard that some schools give more weight to the quant score than the verbal score.
My aspiration is to get in to one of the top b-schools in the US.
I'm young (under 30), have over 9 years of work experience in my field, lots of extracurricular activities, above average grades on my BA from a top school in my country, and a diverse background.
Within the range of factors admissions councils consider, how important is the quant score in itself? Does my quant score substantially hurt my chances? Is it worth considering retaking the exam (something I do not want to do)? Is my high verbal score an advantage in any way?
Thank you!
