Profile evaluation for energy finance

I intend to apply for an MBA in energy finance in McCombs/Jones/fuqua School of
Business. I have chosen this because I want to stay in energy sector
but want to pursue finance as a specialization.
The following is my profile
GMAT: 710 Q51 V35. AWA4.5 IR8
Work ex: Asst. Manager, National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd.(India's Largest power company)
India, 24 months (till july 31 2013)
Acads: 82.6%, BTech Electrical Engineering, Indian School of Mines.
Recipient of Merit cum means scholarship in bachelors for all four years.
organized various national level sports,cultural and technical events.

Well, your profile is a wee bit thin for me to evaluate you. I need more info!

It's a bit hard for me to tell you exactly where you can get into because I am missing information from you. Can you write me back with the following info:

1. Exactly what your position is, how your performance is, whether you have any leadership experience, how many promotions you have had, what extra curricular experience you have, what volunteer work you have
2. Can you elaborate on what your goals are - what are your short and long term goals? Why do you want to go to business school?

If you can give me some more info, I can help you better.

But let me say, that off the bat, your 2 years of work experience is likely too low. I'd suggest you wait at least one more year, and use that time to strengthen your profile.
