Hi veenu08,
Many DS questions require you to consider the possibilities, so think about what COULD BE TRUE based on the info that you have.
The question asks how many terms are in the set. We know that the smallest number = 3
Fact 1 tells us that the average = 6
You could have 2 terms if they were 3 and 9
You could have 3 terms if they were 3, 6 and 9
Etc.
Inconsistent = INSUFFICIENT
Fact 2 tells us that the range = the average
The examples that I used in Fact 1 work PERFECTLY in Fact 2
2 terms if they were 3 and 9 (the range = the average)
3 terms if they were 3, 6 and 9 (the range = the average)
Inconsistent = INSUFFICIENT
Combining terms, we need an average of 6 and a range of 6
With 3 and 9 we'd have 2 terms
With 3, 6, and 9 we'd have 3 terms
Inconsistent = INSUFFICIENT
