Dear Sir/Ma'am,

Good Day!
I just took my GMAT and the score is very bad according to me 600 overall with 49 in Quants and 24 in Verbal. I am very confused because my GMAT score in all mocks were upward of 650 and in the final exam my score took a hit.

Work experience: 2.5 years by June 2014 I work as a senior research analyst in the specialty chemicals domain( Best Rookie Award in the first year, Knowledge contributor award in the Second year)
Education: Chemical Engineer ( Gold Medalist, State Rank Holder, Scholarship Holder, BEST OUTGOING STUDENT)
Leadership: Secretary, College cultural fest. Event coordinator in all department technical symposiums, Dance Club president
Represented India as a cultural ambassador and toured Europe. Scheduled to tour again to South Africa. Over 1000 stage performances to me credit.

Professional classical music singer - released CD, given over 100 stage performances.
After such academic and cultural achievements all this while my GMAT score is such a let down. Especially English.
Do I stand a chance to get into a good school at all? Please advise

Warm Regards
Vaishnavi

Retake the GMAT. Do whatever it takes to boost that score, because your chances are slim to none for getting into any top 30 school unless your score is at a minimum 660, and ideally a 700+.

Vaishnavi,

Do balance your score - Q vs V. At the moment it is skewed towards Q.

Hi Vaishnavi,

It goes without saying that you need to write GMAT again if you are targeting top b-school(s). However, you may try your chances in b-schools by clicking https://goo.gl/H9xpy

I concur with the others. Retake the GMAT as you will have difficulty getting accepted to a good school with a 600 from the competitive Indian applicant group.
