Correct strategy for nailing RC questions

Hello,

I've been attempting quite a bit of RC questions lately and one place where I invariably seem to make a mistake is "The primary purpose of this passage is..". If I try and do a quick skim through, I get them wrong and I can't afford to spend too much time on these to get them right.
What should be my thought process and/or approach to tackle these quickly but correctly? Any advice of how to get this out of my way would be super helpful.

This is a very common question type, so it's important to get good at them.
While reading/summarizing the paragraphs, you should look for popular themes. They are:
- Different perspectives
- The fix
- The explanation 
- The prediction 
There are others, but these ones are quite common.

Once you have identified the main idea, be sure to summarize it in under 10 words.
