Lacking motivation, can't break 550

by gibumkang » Fri Jun 28, 2013 11:21 am
Hi guys, about two months ago I stopped studying after I couldn't break 550. I didn't quit, but I just needed some time to think things through. Sometimes you feel so beat up its good to take a breather once in a while. I pondered if grad school was even for me, but in the end I knew I wanted to continue my education. Finally I feel like I'm ready to pick it up again, but I think it's clear from my score that I lack fundamentals. I took some Kaplan classes in the past but they skim through the material so nothing really stuck for me.

I was hoping if anyone can show me a good guide/book, that starts from the fundamentals and eases up to the 600-700 level stuff. I need massive help in the quant section. Even just words of motivation or anything is cool too. Would love to hear some success/struggles in your GMAT process.

Thanks

First please read this article: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2013/01/ ... n-the-gmat

Let me mention that the Veritas books start with the "skillbuilder" level - which means that you can begin at the beginning if you need to. There are quizzes to ensure that you have embraced the concepts in the skillbuilders before you move on to the lesson.

The lessons involve upper-level questions but the explanations make these accessible.
