Advice needed,urgent!!

Hi all,
I'm going to take the GMAT within few days,I've few questions regarding the test. I may sound silly but still I would like to ask and get your advice.

1) How does the test booklet look like. How many pages it has? If we are done with it and want extra will the proctor provide it?How to ask her in the middle of the test?

2) Once we are done with a section when we want to take a break are we allowed to go of our own or we need to ask the proctor.How to ask her?

3) Though I got a chance to see my test centre from outside but couldn't go inside as the road was blocked that day because of some event.So I would like to ask are the lockers big enough to keep our stuffs or we need to be really careful in choosing the size of our backpack.

4) In GMATPREP tests are we allowed to save the test and work on it later or need to work out immediately after the test.


Though these are silly questions but I would like get rid of my doubts and confusions before the D-day.Please reply ASAP.

You can find the booklet online or buy one online. You can always ask for extra booklet during the exam by raising your hand. Most likely you will not run out of the booklet so dont worry about that.

2) Once we are done with a section when we want to take a break are we allowed to go of our own or we need to ask the proctor.How to ask her?

You need to raise your hand for any communication with the proctor.

3) Though I got a chance to see my test centre from outside but couldn't go inside as the road was blocked that day because of some event.So I would like to ask are the lockers big enough to keep our stuffs or we need to be really careful in choosing the size of our backpack.

From what I saw the lockers do not fit big backpacks. Try you carry just whatever is needed. I stuffed all my things in a file.

4) In GMATPREP tests are we allowed to save the test and work on it later or need to work out immediately after the test.

GMATPrep test doesnt allow you to go back and review the answers. So make sure you review your answers before you exit the GmatPrep test.

These are not silly questions! Being comfortable during the test is essential to doing well on the test.

If you have specific questions about the test center you will be using you can contact that center directly. For example, some centers offer earplugs and others have headphones to block out the noise. If you want to know what you center uses you can contact them directly. For general question like the ones you just asked Beat the G is place to ask.

Let me mention that you will want to practice with the actual notepad that you will be using on the exam. This is standard for all GMAT exams. All Veritas students get one of these pads and one of the official pens that you use. This helps to practice for the exam - the marker is not like using a pen or a pencil. We also sell the pad and pen - as do other companies.

At the very least you should practice not writing in your books when doing OG and other questions. You cannot write on the exam (it is a computer after all!) and it is a different process. You should also practice with earplugs to see how that impacts your performance.

As I said, not silly questions, good questions!
