Hi,

I graduated in Bachelors of Technology(Electronics 7 communication) from AMITY UNIVERSITY, Noida , India in the year 2012. Below are the details.

Degree : B.Tech Electronics & communication engineering
College CGPA : 6.7

Secondary School : 90%
Senior Secondary : 75%
GMAT Score : 690

I was recruited into an IT company in the campus recruitment in 2012 after my graduation. I'm currently working for the same company from last one year. Apart from my professional experience I've also been involved with an NGO for about 2 years. My co-curricular activities include being best athlete for 2 consecutive years in my school and various debate and drama competitions. My research paper on Multi-core processors has been published in a national conference in India. I am also involved in organising team activities in my team at work.

I currently have a one year experience and want to get admission for the 2014-16 batch.
By the time the course begins in Aug 2014 i'll be having 2+ years of work experience(27-28 months).
The schools on my wish list include Indian School of Business, Michigan ross school of business, UCLA Anderson , University of Rochester: Simon, National University of Singapore Business School and Nanyang Business School and Nanyang Technological University.

On my research I have found that schools generally prefer to accept a student with 2 years of work experience. I would like to apply for R1 applications in Oct tentatively for the aug 2014 semester but i would have only 17 months of work experience at the time of application although by the time the semester starts i would have completed two years. Could you clarify this for me?
I am planning go for the above mentioned schools only if a get suitable scholarships. Do u think that is possible with my profile? Also, I would like to know if there are any ways that i can improve my profile?

Hi jivesh,

Thanks for posting. For your question, most MBA programs do like to see candidates with at least 2 years of work experience.

For your application, I recommend you read this case study of a candidate who was accepted into a top MBA program. It will be important in your application that you differentiate your candidacy from the talented applicant tool: https://www.stacyblackman.com/comprehens ... ies/case2/
