Hi,
I am from Mumbai India.
I am targeting the following schools for a second MBA:
- Booth
- Kellogg
- MIT Sloan
- Columbia
- Stern
- CMU
My Profile:
GMAT: 720
Undergrad: B.E(Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering), Mumbai University - Top 5% in college
CGPA: 8.5/10(Absolute - Indian system)
Post-grad: MBA from National Institute of Industrial Engineering (Best School in India for Supply Chain Management)- In Top 10
Work-ex: 2.5 years - Working as a manager in the largest FMCG MNC in India, handling Global Supply chain for the largest category in the company.
EC: Good, scholarships during school, Chief coordinator of a well-known management festival,
Degree holder in Indian music
Reason for a second MBA: I am working in a Global Planning & Project Management role. The role is heavily manufacturing & operations focused. After spending sometime in the organization, I realize that I want a holistic understanding of finance, product management & strategy. I did my MBA right out of engineering college and feel that I had missed out on quite a few aspects that I can pick out now.
Kindly advise me of my chances in the above. Will having the first MBA hinder me from getting into the above schools?
Thanks and Regards,
2nd MBA aspirant
