USC MBA.PM vs SDSU MBA

by j8nguyen » Tue Apr 16, 2013 10:03 am
Hi Everyone,

I'm sure this question may sound ridiculous to many but I guess with my personal goals and resources it isn't to me.

I am planning to attend school part time while working full time. My company is offering to reimburse my tuition by $10,000/calendar year which would fully take care of SDSU but only partially for USC (estimated to take out 70k in loans). I currently work in corporate finance and planning to follow this route to ultimately become a CFO one day.

I want to know if the 70k in loans to attend USC is worthwhile and also commuting from San Diego to Los Angeles twice a week for my 2nd and 3rd year at the program would be a burden. My current position in flexible enough so that I can beat traffic on the commutes. If I go to SDSU, I plan on transitioning to a management role while still in school but at USC I would have to maintain my current position for its flexibility. This is where I'm torn between experience vs. education.

Which school do you believe will benefit my situation more so?

Thanks for any sort of input.
