by arellalu » Sun Jan 27, 2013 11:03 pm
Hi all,

Thank you for taking the time out to review my profile. Any advise about about polishing my profile is welcome. My Target schools: Berkley, Cornell, Duke, U of Michigan, Yale, U of Minnesota

Here is a quick sketch about my profile:

Hispanic - originally from South America working on the U.S on a H1B visa

GMAT 670 (Q46/V36) (I'm seriously thinking about retaking it)

GPA 3.77 Double major Finance/International Business (from a small state university)

Work experience: 2yrs (Accountant/Financial analyst) for the North America office of a Korean Conglomerate.

Extracurricular s: Worked as a Resident Assistant for 3 yrs. Spanish tutor, Finance Tutor, Started a student organization (too bad it died soon after I graduated college). Just started as a board member for a local nonprofit.

Goal: move up the chain as a Financial Analyst, maybe even move back to my home country in South America and help with country development.

I am planning to apply next year, for the 2014 batch. Any recommendations on how to improve my profile for next year? Again that you very much for your input

Hi arellalu,

Thanks for posting. For the schools you are considering, I recommend you take the GMAT again, as your score is below the averages. Your highest GMAT score is self-reported on your application, so admissions teams will focus on your best score. There isn't any harm in taking the exam again.
