INSEAD

by Vivek Badgamia » Thu Mar 07, 2013 11:06 am
I have 6 years full-time, 3 years part-time experience. Undergrad score of 70% (don't know how that translates to GPA). I want to apply to INSEAD, but after scouting many forums, blogs; speaking to alums, current students etc, I hear that, if an applicant does not have international experience outside his home country... "REJECTED"...... Fact or fiction???? I have travelled abroad for work for my employer but have not worked full-time outside my home country. My work experience is quite rich, diverse and I have been promoted every year within my organization. From your experience, is it difficult to crack a place in INSEAD without international experience??

Thanks in advance

Vivek

Hi Vivek,

I don't think there are any really black and white rules when it comes to MBA admissions. It's true that INSEAD really values international work experience (even more than other programs), but I wouldn't let this discourage you from applying!

Best,
Mili
