Hi Stacy,
I am new member of this forum. I read a lot about your replies in this forum and have faith that you can help me .I have something in my mind which is troubling me for a long time and the question is which type of B-School is most appropriate for me. In selecting the university, I am not confused about the major (I carry 2-3 yrs work- exp in IT and want to make my career in IT consulting). I am passed out from Indian Institute of Technology (among top 5 colleges in India with good world recognition) and am at a very good position in IT field in India right now (frankly speaking in terms of salary and short term future).
My concern is that should I go for top 10 B schools and invest around $100k for MBA (as I am not strong financially) or should I consider B schools of Europe/Australia/UK/Singapore which may have less tuition fee and lower average salary as compared to that of top 10 universities? I went through one post in this mail that regional MBA should be considered only if I plan to work in the same country. I agree with this but need your suggestion and guidance (as I am very much confused) that considering my current situation as I mentioned above which type of colleges should I consider? What I think is that if I go for colleges with lower fees and decent reputation and faculty, even if I don't get high salary, I wont feel great burden to pay back the small loan I have been taken.
I know its a long post but it was needed to explain my situation. Thanks in advance for help.
