Pls help me understand this one correctly...

IMO it is B.

It is a misplaced modifier + verb tense flaw

what was very popular? celieng fan or the renewed interest in it?

also verb tense should remain simple past tense as people forced to look for alt methods so it began.

Please let me know OA.
