It was a easy one. Out of which is wrong idiom over here. C is having an awkward construction. I'm not sure what is the actual problem in E, however, I feel "But" does change the meaning and is not proper here. D look fine to me.

I think E is not right because "Some were not completed by him", but someone else completed...
