Can I make it to HSB, Wharton, Kellog, Stanford or Chicago ?

Hello,

This is me:
- Citizen of India
- 10 years of work experience in IT
- Employers include: Satyam Computer Services (2.5 years), Dell (4 years), Fidelity (1 year), Johnson & Johnson (6 months- current employer)
- Working as Project Manager for the last 5 years
- Engineering Graduate (Mechanical Engineering)- 69% (we don't have the GPA system here)
- Took GMAT twice : best score: 650 (V36, Q43)

Can I make it to HSB, Wharton, Kellog, Stanford or Chicago ?

Dear classof2010,

Honestly, I think the possibility of you gaining admission to those programs with the profile you posted is unlikely. Your GMAT score is on the low side and you have the most common background in the applicant pool. Likewise, compared to the other applicants from India, your GMAT and GPA will be on the low side.

I do think you could still gain admission to a great MBA program with your 650 and background. Perhaps look at some programs in the top 30-50 range? I think many of them would be interested in your profile.
