"estimate to be" versus "estimate to"

Is the correct idiom merely "estimate to"? I previously thought the idiom was "estimate to be", but in one of my posts above, the OA answer uses the form "estimate to". The post is titled 2 More SC Questions.....

Does the same hold true for "believe to be" versus "believe to"?

I guess i was the one who gave that misleading idiom.
In that post i meant "estimated to" is prefered over "estimated at"
You are right "estimated to be" is the proper idiom.

GDP is NOT Estimated to Have Fallen Within 1st Quarter

Consider the above sentence. It does not have "estimated to be" but the sentence sure is grammatically correct.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

thanks - I guess the most important aspect is "estimated to", with the "be" part situational....

believe X to be Y.....

Believed to have.....
