error in employment

by SRNDM888 » Sat Dec 15, 2012 12:20 pm
I've received great news this week that I was accepted to my top choice school! I've started putting together forms to send to them for employment verification and realized that I had an error in my application. I accidentally put I had started work at a company in 2007 on the employment history portion, but in reality it was 2008. My resume has the correct dates (as a point to prove I wasn't trying to lie about my time there), and honestly, without the chronology of my other jobs, there is no way I could have started there in 2007. Should I just send in the verification and see what happens? Or should I contact the admissions office first? I'm really nervous a simple typo is going to screw everything up when of course I combed thru the app for things like spelling and grammatical errors.

Any advice is appreciated!
