If set S consists of even number of integers, is the median of set negative?
1.Exactly half of all elements of set S are positive.
2.The largest negative element of set S is -1.

Answer is C.

Statement 1)
For a set like (-2,-1,1,1) Median is 0 (non negative) .. No
For a set like (-3,-2,1,1) Median is negative .. Yes

Not Sufficient!!!

Statement 2)
For a set like (-3,-2,-1,1) Median is negative .. Yes
For a set like (-3,-1,1,1) Median is 0 (non negative) .. No

Not Sufficient!!!

Together we have sets like (-3,-1,1,1) or (-3,-1,2,4) etc. In each case we have a non negative median, hence a definite No. Sufficient Together!!!
